Mohammed Asaduallah

Co-founder & CEO, Benji

Managing your finances as a freelancer can feel like an overwhelming task. Is it 30% of your income that you’re supposed to put aside for taxes? How much GST/HST do you collect if a client is in another province? Should you put money into an RRSP, TFSA, and what’s a HISA? Mohammed will go through each of these questions (and more!) to ensure you’re able to make better financial decisions in your freelance journey.

Mohammed Asaduallah is the Co-founder and CEO of Benji—an online service that finds tax write-offs for Canadian freelancers by sifting through their bank transactions. Mohammed is also the Executive Director of Women and Color—a federal non-profit that creates opportunities to advance and amplify subject matter experts from underrepresented groups in tech. In the past, Mohammed has undertaken a number of roles including design, product and operations for fast-growing startups as well as global corporations such as Tulip Retail, CIBC and Format. A strong believer in continuous learning, Mohammed is driven by the challenge of solving problems through design, technology and business. Outside of work, Mohammed is a Marketing Program Advisory Board Member for Humber College where he created the curriculum for starting an ecommerce business.
