For our client, we are seeking a Director, Design Client Experience to join the team of a leader in the Finance & Insurance space.
This leader will guide a client experience design function that shapes how users engage with financial and insurance offerings across digital and service touchpoints. The role will set vision for the team, translate strategy into practical design execution, and drive innovation that creates meaningful value for the business and its customers. In addition, this leader will partner closely with research, product, and organizational stakeholders to build a high-performing design team and align talent planning with long-term goals.
Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available
Compensation: $177,984 – $240,803 annually

Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of designers to achieve strategic goals
- Drive innovation in design practices to create new value
- Manage multiple workstreams and oversee research initiatives
- Translate strategy into practical applications through effective communication
- Develop a clear vision for the design team aligned with organizational goals
- Build a high-performing team through effective recruitment and development
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and employee engagement
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in relevant design disciplines
- 12+ years of experience in user experience, interaction design, and product innovation
- Proven experience leading design teams and mentoring junior staff
- Strong leadership skills to inspire and motivate teams
- Strategic mindset for developing innovative design practices
- Excellent communication skills to link strategy and execution effectively
- Experience in talent management and headcount planning
