Your Responsibilities

As a User Experience Designer for JD Financial located in Johnston, IA, you will…

  • Deliver wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes to communicate design recommendations.
  • Interpret and translate quantitative and qualitative insights into high quality visual experiences.
  • Partner with other UX professionals to validate and test designs with users through usability testing methods.
  • Partner with the IT UX Design Ops team to leverage and contribute to the Fuel Design System.

What Skills You Need

  • 1 or more years of demonstrated experience in UI and UX design.
  • Proficient with Figma or other equivalent design and rapid-prototyping tools.
  • Experience creating wireframes, mock-ups, and interactive prototypes.
  • Communication and presentation skills, including the ability to lead design discussions.
  • Experience incorporating branding and common design system components and guidelines into product experiences.

What Makes You Stand Out

  • Experience leveraging or contributing to a Design system
  • Knowledge of Product Lifecycle Management
  • Continuous UX learning and certifications
  • Experience with agile development methodologies
  • Ability to influence without authority and working with a variety of individuals.
  • Writing concise content, design guidelines, and standards.
  • Experience with capturing analytics and identifying insights.
  • Experience with accessibility design and guidelines.
  • Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, etc.

Education

Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Human Computer Interaction, Usability, Graphic Arts, Digital Design, Industrial Design, Marketing, Human Factors
