Cynthia Savard Saucier is a design executive who spent the past 12 years shaping how millions of entrepreneurs experience Shopify. As VP of Design, she led teams across Shopify's core commerce products, including Checkout, Online Store, and Retail, and most recently drove design for Shopify's agentic commerce releases. She has also spearheaded the transformation of the design discipline through the adoption of AI tools.

Cynthia joined Shopify in 2015 and helped scale its design organization through a decade of hypergrowth. She is the co-author of Tragic Design (O'Reilly, 2017), a book exploring the human consequences of bad design, and a frequent international speaker on design leadership, craft, and trust.

Trained in industrial design, Cynthia brings a distinctive perspective to product design, a pragmatic approach to product development, and a sharp lens on leadership. She is based in Montreal, where you might find her in a café, enjoying her third bagel.
