UX Product Designer Join AF Group as part of the newly minted UX team. You’ll be partnering with product, engineering, stakeholders (internal and external), and others to work on a variety of applications that support our wide array of users. You’ll champion the UX perspective and be an advocate for all users while sensitive to the business needs and goals.

Responsibilities

● Identify user needs and demonstrate how design decisions support them
● Gather and evaluate user requirements in collaboration with product and engineering
● Confidently explain and rationale your design decisions to stakeholders
● Design successful, user-focused solutions that balance business objectives and user needs and meet accessibility standards
● Identify user needs and demonstrate how design decisions support them
● Designing visual assets (e.g., buttons, modules, micro animations, etc.)
● Building out visual assets for our design library and collaborating with engineering on their component library

Requirements

● Strong understanding of interaction design
● A passion for solving problems via elegant & clean designs
● Experience in creating a wide range of UI elements from logos to icons
● Excellent visual design skills with sensitivity to user-system interaction
● Expertise in CS Suite
● Possess excellent interpersonal skills with an enthusiastic, energetic approach to your work
● Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with team members, stakeholders, and users
● Ability to present/report your solutions in engaging ways
● Familiar with Figma, Zeplin, and other product design tools
● A commitment to creating pixel-perfect visual comps paired with detailed interaction specifications that developers can turn into code
● Knowledgeable about agile/lean UX environment
● A portfolio (online or in document form) that speaks to your UX Visual Design experience & skills A typical day may consist of… Meeting with team members to discuss requirements, performing discovery work, designing UI components, creating wireframes and production-ready visual comps designs, presenting work, your thought process, and more
